Rev. John Quick
Rev.John Quick was born in Finchley, north London and educated there and at Potters Bar, Hertfordshire. He became involved with his local church through the Scouts and introduced to, what might best be described as, gentle Anglo-Catholic worship. After confirmation he was invited to help with the 'children's church' and progressed to become an altar server. After leaving school he studied to be a teacher in Newcastle upon Tyne; and later at London University.
He taught in several schools before becoming Deputy Head at St. Peter's Middle School, Old Windsor.
On moving to Windsor in 1972 after his marriage to Dee, they became regular worshippers at Clewer St. Stephen's church. He was encouraged to consider the call to ordination, through challenging developments in the Team parishes during the early 1990s.
Feeling strongly that his call was to the local community he subsequently trained on what was then the St. Albans and Oxford Ministry course leading to Ordained Local Ministry. Since ordination in 2000 he has worked as a non stipendiary priest in the New Windsor Team. Taking early retirement from teaching in 1997 he now continues to work with schools as a bookseller. His wife Dee is a Borough Councillor and they have two grown up children.
John Halsey is Organist and Choirmaster in the Town Centre parish and Director of Music for the New Windsor Team Ministry.
Keith is the Administrator for the New Windsor Team. He did National Service in the army, prior to going to university and working in the motor industry for 34 years. He has been the New Windsor Team administrator for a number of years and he is currently a Church Warden in New Windsor. More important for Keith, however, is that in 1994 he came back to the Church and the Good News still fills him with wonder.
